We are proud and honored today to share the news with all of you that we are were recommended for a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for one of our latest immersive theatre pieces Pride of the Farm.

The Catamounts have been approved for a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Grant for Arts Projects in the amount of $15,000. to support Pride of the Farm, our latest immersive, site-specific, world-premiere theater piece.

Pride of the Farm was conceived of, and is directed by, Amanda Berg Wilson and written by Jeffrey Neuman. Coloradans might know Jeffrey’s work from his past collaboration with The Catamounts, Land of Milk and Honey, an exploration of the history of Shoenberg Farm that won a 2021 True West award.

The Catamounts’ latest project is among 1,130 projects across the country, totaling more than $31 million, that were selected during this second round of Grants for Arts Projects fiscal year 2023 funding.

In Pride of the Farm, The Catamounts will take you on an outdoor adventure through time, exploring a farm and its history through a unique immersive theatre experience with music. This is the company’s fifth collaboration with the city of Westminster, this piece is set to deepen Coloradans relationship with a valuable public asset and relevant part of their history.

Pride of the Farm uses the biography of former Colorado Attorney General John Metzger and the site of his working farm to explore the parallels between social and environmental justice, and how to advocate for unpopular but necessary policies, as Metzger did.

Featuring Joan Bruemmer-Holden, James Brunt, Sam Gilstrap, Maggie Tisdale, Jason Maxwell, Emma Maxfield and Tanis Joaquin Gonzales.

Pride of the Farm runs Wednesdays through Sundays, June 1 through June 25, 2023, at 7:00 PM.
