You may have seen we just got back from having crash-landed on the moon. It was touch and go for a few months, and some of the things we saw–well, we’ll never be the same. But we will use them in our art.
AND. On our rocketship, we enlisted a new core company member to join us on our intrepid adventures. We couldn’t be more thrilled (and not just a little relieved) to announce that Jeffrey Neuman has joined our ranks.

Jeffrey Neuman is an award-winning playwright whose work has been performed at theaters, festivals, and universities across the United States, Mexico, Australia and the United Kingdom. His plays have been produced and/or developed by Denver Center, LaMaMa Experimental Theatre Club, The Catamounts, Cherry Creek Theatre, Benchmark Theatre, National Public Radio, and the Samuel French Off Off Broadway Festival, among many others.
As a dramaturg, Jeffrey has worked for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the University of Colorado at Boulder, the Athena Project Festival, and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He is also a musical theatre historian, whose original research was used as source material for the book Kander and Ebb (Yale University Press Broadway Masters series).
In 2023, his play The Headliners (O’Neill Center Finalist, Woodward/Newman Award, Marlowe Award, Henry Award nominee) was published by McSweeney’s, where founding editor Dave Eggers called it “fiery and complicated” with two central characters who “defy our expectations at every turn.”
In addition to being cofounder of Colorado’s Rough Draught Playwrights and a Regional Ambassador for the Dramatists Guild of America, Jeffrey is also the Creative Director and host of The Denver Post’s esteemed Pen & Podium literary series and a three-time True West Award winner. www.theaterbyjeff.com.
And no, he is not Stanley Tucci. He is better.
