A Town Called Harris
Conceived by Jessica Austgen, Amanda Berg Wilson, and Adeline Mann
Written by Jessica Austgen
Directed by Adeline Mann
At the historic DeSpain School House, Westminster, Colorado
The Westminster Junior Historical Society invites you to their production of A Town Called Harris, a retelling of the moment in history when their town changed its name from Harris to Westminster. Nevermind that there are only two members of the Junior Society (plus their faculty sponsor, his wife, and their first business sponsor), they are determined to give you a good show! But when the power goes out, mysterious happenings threaten to derail their production and reveal the darker stories of the historic DeSpain Schoolhouse. Think Scooby Doo meets Agatha Christie meets our particular brand of immersive theater!

Burning Bluebeard
By Jay Torrence
Directed by Amanda Berg Wilson
At the Dairy Arts Center, Boulder, CO
Burning Bluebeard retells the story of the tragic 1903 Chicago Iroquois Theatre fire from the perspective of the performers. It mixes comedy, vaudeville, clowning, and meta-theatricality, and The Catamounts will give it a signature immersive staging, once again inventively transforming the Carsen Theater into a space which integrates audience with performers for a cathartic, communal theatrical experience.
Said Newcity Stage of the original Chicago production:
“Burning Bluebeard represents the cumulative potential of theater as an art form: a poetic, terrifying, gut-buster tour de force—a deconstructed retelling of the 1903 Iroquois Theatre Fire from the eyes of the artists who worked on “Mr. Bluebeard,” the production that sent the theater up in flames—even while building the sense that this time fate may be averted and we might see the second act and the victims of that fire could be saved.”
