The Catamounts Raise a Glass to Season 16
We’re kicking off our 16th season of adventurous performance, and this one starts with a toast — literally.
We’re thrilled to open the season with the developmental production of SIP, an immersive theatrical drink-tasting experience by Culture House Immersive, running at Orchard Town Center in Westminster from October 2 to October 25, 2026.
Over 70 sudsy, spirited minutes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink tastings mix with the one-of-a-kind alchemy of the Sip Society. SIP is a celebration of the connections that come alive when you raise a glass with a stranger and uncover something you never imagined.
Led by the World Experience Organization’s 2026 Experientialist of the Year, Mikhael Tara Garver, Culture House Immersive (CHI) is expanding what immersive entertainment can be — guided by a fandom- and culture-building practice the company calls Immersive Involvement.
We were selected to produce CHI’s first developmental production, drawing on our record of award-winning immersive work; Artistic Director Amanda Berg Wilson’s involvement in several nationally recognized immersive productions, including Theater of the Mind by David Byrne and Mala Gaonkar; and our ongoing commitment to the evolution of immersive performance.
SIP is being produced with support from and in collaboration with the City of Westminster’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Libraries.
The show features Joan Bruemmer-Holden, James Brunt, Clark Destin Jones, Ariana DuRan, Sam Gilstrap, Adeline Mann, Jason Maxwell, Mel Schaffer, and Peter Trinh — many of whom have performed in our past award-winning shows as well as in the Denver metro area’s landmark immersive works.
From there, we’re pouring ourselves into the world premiere of The Couches by David Jacobi, running April 4 to April 25, 2027, at the Dairy Arts Center. First developed at the Denver Center’s Colorado New Play Summit in 2018, this darkly funny, unflinching new play — inspired by the case that gave America the word “affluenza” — follows a wealthy mother and son on the run, holed up in an all-inclusive Mexican resort with a duffel bag of cash and an even bigger pile of denial. Featuring the immersive elements that have become one of our hallmarks, it’s a sharp look at what money can actually buy, and the stories we tell ourselves to avoid what it can’t.
We’ll close out the season the way we know best: with our signature FEED event in June, at a soon-to-be-announced location. FEED is our original event integrating food, drink, and performance in a multi-course meal, with live music weaving the night together.
